The Jean Leon winery run by Mireia Torres Maczassek is special and unique for many reasons. Its privileged location overlooking the vineyards of the Penedès, the quality of its "vinos de pago", the respect for the land and the interesting story of its founder Jean Leon that they explain cinematographically leaves no one indifferent.

This year the winery presents a brief selection of works by the artist Josep Guinovart related to the world of jazz, a musical genre that experienced its greatest splendour at the time when Jean Leon was also triumphing in Hollywood.

You will find works from different periods, from the 1950s such as "Jazz Group", "Blues" or "Spirituals", works from the 1980s such as "Homage to Bettsy Smith" or the sculpture of John Coltrane, or an alphabet of jazz from the 90s with his characteristic calligraphy with the feelings evoked by this musical genre.

The exhibition can be visited with the entrance to the winery, but if you want to make it even more complete, they also offer the possibility of booking a dinner paired with Jean Leon estate wines with a live performance by a jazz quartet.
