Presentation of Guinovart book and performance

At the end of the show, there will be a presentation of the second catalogue published by the Fundació Privada Espai Guinovart, which includes three conversations the curator had last summer with three key professionals, providing a way in to Guinovart’s transmuted reality.  The first conversation is with Maria Guinovart, daughter of the artist and president of the Fundació Guinovart, which shows the artist’s private side and reveals interpretations that would only be known to his family. The second is with Marko Daniel, former head of public programmes at Tate Modern in London and current director of the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona, which provides the viewpoint of a foreign expert in Catalan art. Finally, the third conversation is with Àlex Susanna, curator of the Guinovart Year, which sites the Fundació Vila Casas exhibition within the context of the Guinovart Year, addressing some reflections on the current cultural climate of our foundation in relation to the changes in circumstances experienced by the artist's work.

During this event, there will be various performances inspired by the exhibition, demonstrating the artist’s multifaceted appeal articulated through the vision of artists using various modes of expression.
